Where to find Chainbiter
Chainbiter, the Chained Deepcrown is one of the Gate Trials, fought at the Sundering Gate before it opens, from your own ship. The fight is set for level 170.
Phases
- Coiled. Chainbiter coils under the Gate.
- Shackled. Its shackles glow: cannon the links.
- Unchained. Chainbiter breaks free and hunts.
Moves to watch for
Shackle links, Ram, Coil, Ice spit and The maw. Every big attack is marked before it lands: read the tell, get clear, then punish.
Before you go
- Bring a crew if you have one: every crewmate who helps shares the credit in full.
- Cook before the fight, and hit the cooking ring for a dish’s perfect twin.
- A boss fought alone enrages after about four minutes, so keep up the pressure.
