How to redeem a code

  1. Open the Store: press P, or open the Captain’s Log (L, or the compass-rose button on a phone or tablet) and choose Store.
  2. Choose Codes at the top of the Store.
  3. Type the code in the box and choose Redeem. On a phone, tablet or controller the box opens the on-screen keyboard.

The reward arrives at once, and the game tells you what you got. Codes are not case-sensitive: the game reads LAUNCH the same in capitals or small letters, and it ignores spaces. These are the game’s default keys; if you moved them on the Keybinds page, the Store opens on your own key.

What the rewards do

  • Gold is yours at once, to spend at the shops, the smith and the fruit dealer.
  • 2x XP doubles the XP you earn for 30 minutes. The time counts down from the moment you redeem, whether or not you are playing, so redeem when you are ready to sail.
  • 2x Mastery doubles the mastery you earn for 30 minutes. The time counts down from the moment you redeem, whether or not you are playing, so redeem when you are ready to sail.

If a code does not work

The game answers “That code didn't work. Check the spelling, or it may have expired.” for a code it does not know, a code that has ended, and a code you have already used. Check the spelling against the list above. You can try 5 codes a minute; after that, wait a minute and try again.

If a code from this list still fails, tell us from Report a problem in the game’s menu, or through the contact page.
