The islands

Islands and seas

Sixteen islands across two seas, one for every level from 1 to 250, and a Gate between them. This is the chart of Vicious Seas, a Roblox pirate RPG, in the order a captain sails it. Every island has a page of its own.

01The chart

Start in Anchorfall’s harbour and sail outward. Every level from 1 to 250 has an island to fight on. At level 175 the Chainstacks guard the Sundering Gate, and past it lies a second sea.

03The Long Reach

Still the First Sea, further out

TallyportLevels 91–103
A free port of stalls and sails: the shooting range, the Galley Row cook-off and Cassia Quill’s Ledger Hall. Boss: Cassia Quill, the Harbour Tallier.
LowwaterLevels 104–116
A bay the sea walks out of. The tide moves the ground every eight minutes, and the Ebbmaw waits at Lamp Rock. Boss: The Ebbmaw.
NinefoldLevels 117–130
A clock-tower town stuck in four minutes. Solve the Loop, then face Anselm Hask in the Bell-less Belfry. Boss: Anselm Hask, the Clockwarden.
GlyphwoodLevels 131–145
Glyph shrines in the trees, and the Hushed Archive beneath them. Boss: Ossian Vell, the Glyphkeeper.
WintermastLevels 146–152
A glacier round a dead Deepcrown. Keep near a fire, and face its keeper in the Heart Chamber. Boss: Grisvald.
The ChainstacksLevels 153–175
Two basalt stacks at the Gate, joined by a great chain that rises and falls on a clock. Boss: Corra Lisle, the Gatewarden.

04The Sundered Main

The Second Sea, past the Gate at level 175

GildmarrowLevels 176–200
A mint town on stilts round a flooded treasury. Boss: Orrin Vask, the Mintmaster.
ThornreachLevels 201–225
Briar-grown cliffs, a hanging village and a ring of thorns. Boss: Mother Sedge, the Briar Queen.
ThunderholdLevels 226–250
A spire isle under a storm that never leaves, where the Stormwright works the great rod on the Thunderstair. Boss: Varric Holm, the Stormwright.

05The Sundering Gate

At level 175 the Chainstacks guard the Sundering Gate, the way from the First Sea into the Second. To pass, a captain needs level 175, a victory over Ysolde Vane, the Cantor of Choirbone, and a blue-water hull: a frigate, a galleon or a Sunwrought. A ferry crosses the Gate for gold earned in the game.

Before the Gate opens there are the Gate Trials: Corra Lisle on a turning windlass drum, Chainbiter rising from the narrows, fought from your ship, the Vigil, fought from a gun yard and a rival captain’s duel that starts ship against ship and ends on his deck.

06Havens at sea

Three abandoned islands sit out on the open water: Saltpalm Refuge, Kelpstone Refuge, Farwater Refuge. Sharks circle them and castaways fish from their shores. Somewhere in their water swims the Bottlemouth, one catch in twenty thousand.

07What every island holds

Every island is more than a level band. Each one has its own quest chain, secrets to find, a set of collectibles that earns a title, a shop or a teacher of its own, and an activity found nowhere else: the Wave Race and the clam beds at Lowwater, the Loop at Ninefold, the Briar Run at Thornreach, Stormfall at Thunderhold. Lowwater’s tide walks out every eight minutes and changes the ground you stand on; Wintermast is cold enough that you keep near a fire.
