What it lets you do differently
Skyfall carries you 24 studs onto the target.
Become the veilray: wide glass-clear wings, a barbed tail and violet spots that glow in the dark. In that shape you lash, glide through foes and beat the air to drag them in.
Beast fruits give a sea-creature form, taken on and let go at will. Its form is Ray Shape.
Moves
- Barb LashKey Z
- Your barbed tail whips across the space in front of you.
- Glide StrikeKey X
- You glide forward on wide wings and slice through everything in the path.
- Undertow WingKey C
- One great beat of your wings pulls every nearby foe inward.
- Ray ShapeKey V
- Take the veilray's shape, or let it go.
- SkyfallKey F, its signature
- You climb on glass wings and fall on a spot far ahead. You leap and land on the spot yourself.
Passive: Slipstream
While you are fresh you hit like a diving ray: relic powers deal 8% more while above 75% HP.
Awakening
Veilray Awakened, the Eclipse Wing. Your wings darken like an eclipse: faster lashes, longer glides, and a dive from the sky.
Its awakened move, Eclipse Dive: You rise on your wings and crash down on the spot ahead in a burst of violet dark.
How to get the Veilray Fruit
- The fruit dealer. The keeper of the Tidemark Shrine stocks 4 fruits at a time, changed every 4 hours; when this one is in, it costs 90,000 gold.
- Found in the world. Fruits appear on the islands for whoever finds them first.
- Rolled when you play. A chance of it from Captain Brakka, the Bellfounder, the Gloamhand or Mawreth when they fall (0.6%), a fruit tree, anywhere in the world (0.525%), a Saltrot raider (0.015%) and the Tidemark Shrine in Anchorfall, each tide (0.35%).
- In the store. Sold at a fixed, shown price. Nothing random is sold, and its awakening is never for sale.
The price of eating it
The sea refuses you. You sink instead of swimming; a Human eater slowly runs out of breath underwater and drowns. A Fishman eater still breathes, but sinks all the same. Every Relic Fruit carries the same price: mind the rail.
