What it lets you do differently
Snare and hold one foe, then the knot.
Rope pays out of your palms, as much as you want. Snare a foe and haul them in, lash a crowd with a mooring line, knot foes where they stand and swing through a fight on your own rigging.
Arcane fruits bend one strange law of the world.
Moves
- Bowline SnareKey Z
- A noose of tarred rope flies out and hauls the foe you face to your feet. Foes it hits are stuck in place for a moment.
- Hawser LashKey X
- A heavy mooring line whips round in a wide arc.
- Reef KnotKey C
- Ropes burst out of the ground ahead and knot around every foe standing there.
- Ratline RunKey V
- You cast a line ahead and swing forward on it, sweeping through everything in your path.
- Rigging WebKey F, its signature
- Ropes cross in a web around you and haul every foe inward.
Passive: Sea Legs
You were born in the rigging: relic powers cost 10% less stamina.
Awakening
Knotwright Awakened, the Endless Rigging. Your rope turns to red-gold cable: longer reach, harder lashes, and a cradle that catches a crowd.
Its awakened move, Cat's Cradle: A web of rigging snaps tight around you and drags every foe inside toward you.
How to get the Knotwright Fruit
- The fruit dealer. The keeper of the Tidemark Shrine stocks 4 fruits at a time, changed every 4 hours; when this one is in, it costs 45,000 gold.
- Found in the world. Fruits appear on the islands for whoever finds them first.
- Rolled when you play. A chance of it from Captain Brakka, the Bellfounder, the Gloamhand or Mawreth when they fall (0.9%), a fruit tree, anywhere in the world (0.75%), a Saltrot raider (0.04%) and the Tidemark Shrine in Anchorfall, each tide (0.5%).
- In the store. Sold at a fixed, shown price. Nothing random is sold, and its awakening is never for sale.
The price of eating it
The sea refuses you. You sink instead of swimming; a Human eater slowly runs out of breath underwater and drowns. A Fishman eater still breathes, but sinks all the same. Every Relic Fruit carries the same price: mind the rail.
